I am a 40 something married man with 6 children and have overcome an autoimmune disease through lifestyle changes. I enjoy writing and thoughtful conversation. I hope to share my stories and explore others’ stories and perhaps together both of our lives will be enhanced.

Recently I was challenged to improve my about page soooo,  I thought I would provide a little more information about me.

I have an unusual favorite color (for a man anyway) purple

I have spent most of my adult life as a builder/remodeler and now work in human services building up people instead of buildings.

My favorite movie of all time is “Facing the Giants“.

November (2011) I celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary!

I write because it helps me express things that I have a hard time expressing in any other medium and I love to have dialogue with others and learn more about myself and each other in this journey called life.

I spent over 10 years in a traveling Drama group and have performed for over 200 audiences in the northeastern United States.

That’s about me, now tell me what your about!

  3. So first, thank you for the kind comment on my blog. And second, whoa! We have A LOT in common! I am also a fan of purple (although I don’t think that’s as rare for a female), AND Facing the Giants is also one of my favorite movies. I literally just finished watching it (again) right before I logged on. Weird. Not to mention the whole autoimmune disorder connection. Glad to meet you, and excited to peruse your blog. God bless!

Hi Stefanie, Thanks for stopping by and for the affirmations. Yes we do seem to share a number of things now that you mention it :-). I look forward to learning more about your journey and your blog. Btw What captured my attention was the name of your blog as I spent over ten years in a traveling drama ministry. Be well 🙂

    Happy New Year!

  5. Hey J.T. Just wanted to slip this info to you. You were the only one who tried to guess who I am watching concerning when they pass away. This person I thought would have been dead some time ago, but he is not. I can think of no greater modern day prophet of grace and salvation. If God is useing him as a “marker”, then I am very wary of possible judgements after he passes. God’s grace is so long suffering, I believe God has extended his life. But if his death coincides with the completion of the One World Trade Center? Look out! If you haven’t figured it out, it’s Billy Graham. I could be totally wrong, but I’m still gonna keep an eye on it.
